Are you feeling disconnected in your relationship, overwhelmed by burnout, or struggling to manage ADHD or post-partum changes? When stress builds, communication can become strained, leaving you feeling stuck, exhausted, or unsure how to move forward. Therapy offers a supportive space to slow down, understand your experiences, and begin creating meaningful change in your relationships and daily life.

I support adults, couples, and families navigating relationship challenges, ADHD, burnout, and post-partum mental health. Together, we focus on improving emotional awareness, strengthening communication, and developing coping strategies that feel practical and sustainable. This process can help reduce overwhelm, improve relationship satisfaction, and support healthier emotional patterns over time.

Therapy is collaborative and guided by your pace, comfort, and goals. It provides a safe space to explore challenges openly, build insight, and reconnect with yourself and the relationships that matter most to you. You deserve support while working toward balance, clarity, and stronger emotional and relational wellbeing.

My Background

I'm Alysha Plaggemeier, a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I have been practicing as a psychotherapist since 2021, and my journey has taken me through a range of diverse experiences. I have worked with individuals from various backgrounds, including homeless populations, victims of domestic violence, and a wide array of clients. My mission is to provide a holistic, science-informed approach, meeting you where you are, and guiding you to find what healing can look like for you. Through therapy we can go through the healing process together.

My Approach

I strive to create a safe and supportive environment that allows you the space to be honest, seek support, and explore yourself. My goal is to guide you to learn to build stronger connections with yourself, your loved ones, and your life.

I primarily work with couples, families, and individuals aged 18 and above.

In our sessions, I draw from a variety of therapeutic methods, such as Attachment therapy, Emotion Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic therapy, and the Gottman Method.

I address a wide range of concerns, including common issues like anxiety, depression, and trauma. In addition, I have specialized expertise in helping clients navigate more complex challenges, such as couples and family issues, relationship dynamics, Borderline Personality Disorder, Perinatal Mental health, and Grief.

I understand that you may be facing a considerable amount of emotional distress and are grappling with complex challenges. However, I want to assure you that you are not alone in this journey. Together, we will work collaboratively to uplift your mood, improve your behaviors, develop effective problem-solving strategies, and strengthen your relationships.

With the convenience of online treatment, my work at Healing Voices Psychotherapy can help you access personalized and empathetic mental health support. It's my commitment to guide you towards a more positive and fulfilling path. Let's take the first step together towards a brighter and healthier future.
